On May 22, 2018, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe held a press conference at the Prime Minister’s Office.
 
Regarding the documents submitted by Ehime Prefecture to the Diet, the Prime Minister responded to a question from the press on whether or not he met with the Chairman of Kake Educational Institution on February 25, 2015, and said,
 
“I did not meet with Chairman Kotaro Kake on the date in question. Just to be sure, we checked the records of the Prime Minister’s Office yesterday, but found no indication of such a meeting. As I have explained at the Diet and on other occasions to date, Mr. Kotaro Kake has never spoken to me, nor I to him, about anything related to the establishment of a new veterinary school.”
