Prime Minister Shinzo Abe held a second press occasion at the Prime Minister's Office.
In regard to North Korea's Missile Launch, the Prime Minister said,

"Following North Korea's missile launch, we have held a Japan-Republic of Korea (ROK) foreign ministers' telephone talk. In addition, we have just held a telephone talk between Secretary General Yachi of the National Security Secretariat and Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs of the United States Lieutenant General McMaster.

We intend to analyze information and respond thoroughly to this incident, in close cooperation with the United States and the Republic of Korea. Furthermore, we will strongly urge North Korea to fully comply with the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions, while working closely with the international community, including not only the United States and the Republic of Korea, but also China and Russia."
