As part of initiatives for Premium Friday (the practice of having shorter working hours on the last Friday of each month), Prime Minister Shinzo Abe meditated at Zenshoan, a Buddhist temple.

Following that, the Prime Minister viewed a mini-concert in the front courtyard of the National Museum of Western Art. Later, at the Tokyo National Museum, the Prime Minister viewed short films and the special exhibition “Eternal Treasures from Kasugataisha Shrine.”

At the end of the Premium Friday activities, the Prime Minister said,

“Today I was able to spend a relaxing and meaningful three hours enjoying culture. I would like everyone to enjoy Premium Fridays. I felt that this initiative will truly enrich lives.”
