Prime Minister Shinzo Abe held an impromptu press conference at the Prime Minister’s Office on the upcoming meeting with the Honorable Donald Trump, President of the United States of America.

The Prime Minister said at the impromptu press conference,

“Earlier, I had a telephone conversation with President Trump. We agreed to hold a Japan-United States Summit Meeting on February 10.

During the telephone conversation, we confirmed the importance of the Japan-U.S. Alliance in relation to issues such as the economy and security. During the Japan-United States Summit Meeting on February 10, I want to have a frank exchange of views on the economy, and the issue of security as a whole. I intend to make it a significant exchange of views.”
