Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visited Yamagata Prefecture.

The Prime Minister first traveled to Tendo City where he visited a cherry orchard. After receiving an overview of the orchard, Prime Minister Abe tried harvesting, tasting and boxing the cherries. Next, the Prime Minister visited a beef cattle ranch in Yamagata City. After receiving an overview of the ranch, Prime Minister Abe fed the cattle rice straw and later tasted beef.

Afterwards, the Prime Minister participated in a hometown roundtable talk in Kaminoyama City and exchanged views with farmers living and working in Yamagata.
