On January 19 (local time), during his visit to the State of Israel, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visited the Yad Vashem Holocaust History Museum.
Then, after holding a joint press announcement with H.E. Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of the State of Israel, at the Prime Minister’s Office, he held a leaders’ summit with Prime Minister Netanyahu. After that, the Prime Minister paid a courtesy call to H.E. Mr. Reuven Rivlin, President of Israel, at the President’s Office.
Following this, after visiting the old area of Jerusalem, Prime Minister Abe received a courtesy call from Mr. Isaac Herzog, Leader of the Opposition, and then attended a class reunion of the Joint Invitation Program for Israeli and Palestinian Youth Leaders. After that, Prime Minister Abe received a courtesy call from United States Senator John Sidney McCain III, and in the evening attended a dinner hosted by Prime Minister Netanyahu.
The following day, January 20 (local time), the Prime Minister held a press conference.
