Establishment of the Headquarters for Japan's Economic Revitalization

Cabinet Decision
[Provisional Translation]

  1. Toward the Revitalization of Japan's Economy, the Government establishes, under the coordination with the Council on Economic and Fiscal Policy, the Headquarters for Japan's Economic Revitalization (hereinafter called Headquarters) within the Cabinet with a view to taking necessary economic measures as well as realizing the growth strategy by the government as a whole, in order to break away from yen appreciation and deflation, and then to bring back strong economy. It serves as a control tower taking a central role in comprehensive coordination, planning and policy making on those matters.

  2. The Composition of the Headquarters as follows: The Chief of the Headquarters, however, has the discretion to require additional attendance concerned when deemed necessary.

    Chief Prime Minister
    Acting Chief Deputy Prime Minister
    Vice Chief Minister in charge of Economic Revitalization and Minister of State for Economic and Fiscal Policy,
    and Chief Cabinet Secretary
    Members All State Ministers


  3. Regarding the administrative affairs of the Headquarters, Cabinet Secretariat will handle those under the auspices of Cabinet Office.

  4. In addition to what is provided for in the preceding paragraph, regarding the affairs relating to the operation of the Headquarters and other affairs, the Chief has the discretion to decide.
