On June 4 (local time), during his visit to the Kingdom of Belgium to attend the Brussels G7 Summit, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe first held talks with two of the leaders of the European Union (EU), H.E. Mr. Herman Van Rompuy, President of the European Council, and H.E. Mr. José Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission. Subsequently, the Prime Minister held talks with H.E. Mr. François Hollande, President of the French Republic.
In the evening, Prime Minister Abe attended a working dinner held on the theme of “foreign policy issues” with the leaders of the G7 and EU.
