On May 4 (local time), Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visited Spain. After being welcomed by H.E. Mr. Mariano Rajoy Brey, President of the Government of Spain, Prime Minister and Mrs. Abe were taken on a tour of Monte do Gozo and the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela by President Rajoy. Afterwards, both leaders took part in a ceremony for an exchange of gifts, which was followed by an informal working lunch hosted by President Rajoy.
