Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visited Yamanashi Prefecture.
Upon arriving at the Yamanashi Maglev Test Center, the Prime Minister first inspected Superconducting Maglev (SCMAGLEV), before receiving an explanation of the overview of the system. Following this, he took a test ride on SCMAGLEV. The Prime Minister then held a meeting with Mr. Yoshiyuki Kasai, Chairman Emeritus of Central Japan Railway Company.
Afterwards the Prime Minister visited Katsunuma Town in Koshu City, and inspected the status of the damage and restoration of a grape orchard that was affected by the heavy snowfall. He then exchanged opinions with young farmers.
