Prime Minister Shinzo Abe attended the Meeting of the Government and Ruling Parties at the Prime Minister's Office.

During the meeting, there were discussions on new economic measures.

Based on the discussion, the Prime Minister said in his address,

"All the members of the ruling parties have participated tirelessly in discussions on new economic policies, and today we have been able to compile draft 'economic measures for the realization of a positive cycle of the economy.'
I think that by swiftly executing an economic policy package that includes these economic measures, we will make it possible to secure a path toward an exit from deflation and toward economic revitalization.
I ask for the extensive cooperation of senior officials of the ruling parties for the passage of these economic measures."
