On July 26 (local time), Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visited the Republic of Singapore.
Upon arriving in Singapore, the Prime Minister attended a welcome ceremony held at the Istana and paid a courtesy call on Dr. Tony Tan, President of Singapore. Following this, he held a Japan-Singapore summit meeting and joint press conference.
In the afternoon, the Prime Minister received a courtesy call from Mr. Joseph Biden, Vice President of the United States. Later, the Prime Minister delivered an address at the Singapore Lecture.
