Prime Minister Shinzo Abe received a request from the National Governor's Association at the Prime Minister's Office.

Receiving the request, the Prime Minister said in his address,

"TPP will have a large impact on the lives of the people. Because agriculture, forestry and fisheries constitute the very lives of people in local areas, we would like to respond appropriately. We would also like to make efforts to provide information to local residents. Particularly, we would like to make agriculture an attractive area for young people to work in.
Regarding the issue of the MV-22 Osprey, we are currently requesting the U.S. side to provide information including the flight altitude to the Japan side in advance.
We would like to make efforts so that there will be no adverse impact on the lives of local residents."
