Prime Minister Shinzo Abe received a courtesy call from Mr. Hwang Woo-yea, Chairman of the South Korea-Japan Parliamentarians' League, and others at the Prime Minister's Office.

The Prime Minister said in his address,

"There was a change of leader in both Japan and the Republic of Korea (ROK). Japan and the ROK are the most important neighboring countries to one another, sharing fundamental values. To ensure the peace, stability and prosperity of the region, it is important that we cooperate in solving various problems including dealing with the problem of North Korea, such as the launch of a missile the other day. Although some problems occasionally occur between Japan and the ROK, I expect that the close communication between the the Japan-South Korea Parliamentarians' League and the South Korea-Japan Parliamentarians' League will serve as a conduit."
